After beginning her career in oncology, Lisa encountered a hospice nurse whose compassionate conversation with a patient and family changed the course of her professional life. Inspired by the depth of support hospice could offer, she pursued the work herself in 1996 and has never looked back.

Lisa’s “why” is rooted in the profound honor of being invited into life’s most sacred moments. She remains deeply moved that patients and families trust her and her team to walk alongside them at the end of life. As Executive Director, Lisa leads with service, respect, and humility, guided by Luminary’s value to honor and serve. She believes excellent hospice care begins by asking one simple but powerful question, “What matters most to you?” and then truly listening. Through her leadership, she ensures every patient and family is met with compassion, presence, and unwavering support, so they feel heard, loved, and never alone.

One of my brightest moments was our first all-staff meeting, when every chair was filled. Looking around at the team I had chosen with my heart, I felt energized knowing we were building something special for the families we serve.
