Evening Support for a Peaceful Night

As the day comes to a close, evenings can bring added vulnerability, restlessness, or anxiety for individuals living with serious illness.

Twilight Care is Luminary Hospice’s way of offering gentle, reassuring presence during these tender hours, helping patients feel safe, comforted, and supported as they transition into the night. This program reflects our belief that care doesn’t end when the sun goes down, and that peace in the evening can bring rest for both patients and families.

What Twilight Care Provides

Twilight Care offers compassionate, in-home support during the evening hours, typically between 6:00 and 9:00 PM, when patients may feel more vulnerable, restless, or anxious.

During this time, one of our experienced hospice aides visits the home or residence to help your loved one settle into the night with comfort, reassurance, and dignity. Each visit is guided by what feels most supportive in the moment, creating a calm environment that allows both patients and families to rest more easily.

During a Twilight Care visit, our team may provide:

  • Assistance with evening hygiene and grooming
  • Help with comfortable positioning in bed
  • Calm companionship and gentle conversation
  • Light tidying of the room or bedside area
  • Emotional support and reassurance to ease anxiety

Care is never rushed and always centered on helping your loved one feel safe, comforted, and cared for as the day comes to a close.

Who Twilight Care Is Designed For

Twilight Care offers peace of mind for individuals and families who find the evening hours more challenging.

It is especially helpful when added support, reassurance, and gentle presence can make the transition into night feel calmer and more secure.

Twilight Care may be especially meaningful for individuals who:

  • Feel more anxious, restless, or disoriented as evening approaches
  • Need extra comfort or reassurance before bedtime
  • Require hands-on assistance transitioning into sleep
  • Find peace in a calm, familiar presence at the end of the day

This support allows patients to settle into the night feeling safe and cared for, while families can rest knowing their loved one is not alone.
